WELLSPRING, Financial Health Tracker, Always insight. Always insightful.
Scotia-bank provided us with problems they tackle on a day to day basis. Among one of those problems was how can we provide meaningful insights into struggling millennials and help them make better day to day decisions about their finances?
Provide better financial day to day decisions to millenials, the problem overview
How will the user be able to check their day to day banking while being in a busy and loud environment - Accessibility Challenge
As a team, we started sketching out ideas and to be most productive with the limited time we had, we started by crazy 8’s.
Most viable solution — Apple watch
Initial Flow
User Testing Insights
Apple Watch Users: The financial health rings were confusing the users with the fitness tracker, which apple watch users often use to track their fitness.
Non-Apple Watch Users: Users were clicking into the rings thinking they would expand into a detailed view of income, spendings, and summary rather than scrolling down.
We changed this actionable insight and added more screens for the user to chose which goal they wanted their money to go in.
Initial Flow - Revised
To be more efficient and accurate we looked into inspiration guides online as it was our first time designing for an Apple Watch.
This helped us put together a mid-fidelity design that we could user test and iterate based on the feedback.
